Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at the long awaited sequel to the number one grossing movie of all time. Yes, I’m talking about “Avatar: The Way Of Water” and it proves that James Cameron was right to let us wait thirteen years for the next installment on the world of Pandora. The story is still fairly basic, but it’s a sturdy framework for some of the finest effects and action work I’ve ever seen. Fans of the original film are in for a treat and newcomers (all though you’ll want to watch the original movie for context) will enjoy themselves as well!

The Dogcast: “Fibber McGee & Molly” For Your Old Radio Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. We’re sticking with the comedies this week with a couple of vintage episodes of “Fibber McGee & Molly.” Jim and Marian Jordan played the long lasting couple in Wistful Vista, with Fibber telling his tall tales and Molly patiently putting up with them, sometimes letting the air out of his balloon in the process. These two early 1940s episodes feature Harold Peary as The Great Gildersleeve, a character so popular he ended up with his own series, marking the first example of a successful spinoff. Enjoy these two classic comedies from Fibber McGee & Molly, one of the greatest comedy teams of all time! So Sayeth The Kendog!

Dog’s Movie House: “The Fabelmans” Is Spielberg At His Most Personal!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Steven Spielberg’s latest, and perhaps, most personal film. It’s called “The Fabelmans” and it’s a fictionalized version of Spielberg’s youth in post-World War II America. It charts the childhood of young Sammy Fabelman (Gabriel Labelle) the only son of Burt and Mitzi Fabelman (Paul Dano And Michelle WIlliams). As a young child he sees his first film, “The Greatest Show On Earth” and he’s absolutely captivated by the spectacle, especially the show stopping trainwreck that highlights the film. That scene in particular both torments and fascinates him and sets young Sammy on a path that leads him to make movies. During the course of his childhood and adolescence Sammy face the challenges of anti-Semitism, moving from state to state as his father continues to change jobs, and the stress of dealing with the spectre of divorce.
