Dog’s Movie House: “Knock At The Cabin” Elevated By An Outstanding Performance From Dave Bautista!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller. It’s called “Knock At The Cabin” and features Dave Bautista as Leonard, a man whose shared visions with three other people have convinced him to descend upon a cabin in the woods. At this cabin are a couple, Eric (Jonathan Groff) and Andrew (Ben Aldridge) and their adopted daughter Wen (Kristin Cui). Leonard is convinced that the apocalypse is coming and the only way to stop it is for one of the three members of this family to be killed. The catch is that the victim must be killed by a member of his/her family. Leonard and his party can do nothing to intervene. Of course Eric and Andrew aren’t having any and their refusuals have extreme consequences, both to Leonard’s party and the world in general. Is Leonard right? Or is the whole thing just a shared delusion with a darker, yet more personal intent?

This version stars legendary actresses Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, and Sally Field as the passionate foursome of New England fans who take a trip to remember to Texas and end up experiencing more than just the Superbowl.

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. This time we’re hitting “George Burns And Gracie Allen” in honor of George Burns Birthday! He was born January 20th 1896 and made it all the way to his 100th birthday. A brilliant comedian who realized he worked best as a straight man to his equally hilarious wife, the legendary Gracie Allen. Later in life, Burns would have a successful film career, winning an Oscar for the 1975 film “The Sunshine Boys.” Enjoy these episodes of classic comedy from one of the greats in old radio! Dog’s Movie House: “Shotgun Wedding” Middling Comedy With Game Jennifer Lopez And Jennifer Coolidge!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog her with a look at Amazon Prime’s latest streamer. This one stars Jennifer Lopez and is called “Shotgun Wedding.” Lopez stars as Darcy Rivera, a fortysomething professional who’s getting married in a big wedding in the Phillipines to former ballplayer Tom Fowler (Josh Duhamel). There’s a bit of tension because Tom is all about the perfect wedding while Darcy just wants something simple. The two families don’t necessarily get along, and to make matters worse, Darcy’s ex Sean (Lenny Kravitz) shows up to make Tom even more insecure. Things really go from bad to worse when pirates show up and take everyone save the not-so-happy couple hostage. It’s up to Darcy and Tom attempt a rescue their guests while trying to sort out their relationship.

Dog’s Movie House: “Missing” A Unique, Involving Thriller!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at the new thriller “Missing” from the makers of a similar thriller a few years ago called “Searching.” In fact, “Missing” is a direct sequel to the former although it’s basically a stand alone story. Storm Reid plays June, an eighteen year old who’s mother Grace (Nia Long) disappears after heading to Columbia with boyfriend Kevin (Ken Leung). June, who has a strained relationship with her mother, is forced to reevaluate everything when she begins to investigate Grace’s disappearance. With the help of a part time worker in Columbia named Javi (the excellent Joaquim de Almeida), she finds herself involved in a mystery that puts her very life in danger.
