The Dogcast: “Command Performance” For Your Old Radio Enjoyment!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun! This time I thought I’d include some classic “Command Performance.” These were variety shows that broadcast to soldiers overseas between 1942 and 1949 and featured some of the biggest talents in show business. This time I’ve got two episodes, both from 1942, one of which features Fred Allen and the other with Shirley Temple. A little simpler time, with some terrific comedy and music, all for the morale of the soldiers in World War II. Enjoy and feel free to comment on either the site or my Facebook page.
