The Dogcast: A Little “Green Hornet” For Your Old Radio Listening Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. In honor of the vigilante thriller “Without Remorse” releasing on Amazon Prime, I thought I’d give you a taste of one of the most popular vigilantes in old radio. “The Green Hornet” was one of the more popular series on the radio, premiering on 1936 and created by the same guy who brought the Lone Ranger to radio, George W. Trendle. In fact, Britt Reid, the crusading publisher who was actually the Green Hornet, is a distant relation to the Lone Ranger. Pretty cool, huh. In any event, the show is a lot of fun and not as adult oriented as other shows like The Shadow. I have two episodes here for your listening pleasure. Listen to the distinctive theme, which is “The Flight Of The Bumblebee” mixed with the sound of buzzing hornets. Enjoy and feel free to comment below or on my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
