Dog’s Movie House: “Speak No Evil” Powered By James McAvoy’s Gonzo Performance!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at “Speak No Evil” a new thriller starring James McAvoy and Scoot McNairy. While on a vacation in Europe, Ben and Louise Dalton (McNairy and Mackenzie Davis) along with their daughter Agnes (Alix West Lefler) meet another family; Paddy (McAvoy), his wife Ciara (Ailing Franciosi) and their son Ant (Dan Hough). After spending the bulk of their vacation together, the Daltons decided to take up Paddy’s invitation to spend some time at their European farm. Once there, however, Paddy and his wife start acting strange and soon the Dalton’s find themselves fighting for their very lives!

Dog’s Movie House: “Blink Twice” A Terrific Debut From Zoe Kravitz!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at the thriller “Blink Twice” which marks the directorial debut (as well as screenwriting) of talented actress Zoe Kravitz. A straightfoward thriller for the most part, “Blink Twice” examines issues like toxic masculinity and female empowerment in the most entertaining of ways. Kravitz has constructed a film that feels unsettling even when it’s not actively being creepy. It’s quite an achievement and as much as I like seeing Kravitz on screen (“The Batman”) I find myself really looking forward to what she does next behind the camera!
