Dog’s Movie House: “Ava” Wastes Great Cast In Mediocre “John Wick” Wannabe!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a movie that really should be better than it is. This is Tate Taylor’s “Ava” an assassin-thriller that takes the template of “master assassin screws up and is hunted down by her former employers” and does almost absolutely nothing with new with it. It also wastes a tremendous cast led by Jessica Chastain, John Malkovich, and Colin Farrell and that is a damn shame.

Howdy Folks!  It’s The Kendog with another edition of The Dogcast!

This time we’re hitting up Emily Blunt’s latest, “The Girl On The Train” along with the Nate Parker slave drama “Birth Of A Nation.”  Both of these films are fairly well made but at the same time both are missing something that could truly make them great.  Blunt is the main reason to see “The Girl On The Train,” and those looking for some cathartic revenge should find something to enjoy in the drama about slave rebellion leader Nat Turner!  Listen to the full Dogcast below and feel free to watch the assorted clips of both films afterward.  Don’t forget to comment below!
