The Dogcast: The Best Action Scenes From The First Four “Indiana Jones” Movies!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here and after a wonderful time at the movies saying goodbye to the legendary Indiana Jones, I thought it would be fun to revisit the other four films and show you what I believe to be the best action sequences in each film. Even “Indiana Jones And The KIngdom Of The Crystal Skull” has plenty of great moments despite the film’s mostly spotty critical and audience reception. So here’s to Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and everyone else behind one of the most beloved franchises of all time! Enjoy! So Sayeth The Kendog!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Steven Spielberg’s latest, and perhaps, most personal film. It’s called “The Fabelmans” and it’s a fictionalized version of Spielberg’s youth in post-World War II America. It charts the childhood of young Sammy Fabelman (Gabriel Labelle) the only son of Burt and Mitzi Fabelman (Paul Dano And Michelle WIlliams). As a young child he sees his first film, “The Greatest Show On Earth” and he’s absolutely captivated by the spectacle, especially the show stopping trainwreck that highlights the film. That scene in particular both torments and fascinates him and sets young Sammy on a path that leads him to make movies. During the course of his childhood and adolescence Sammy face the challenges of anti-Semitism, moving from state to state as his father continues to change jobs, and the stress of dealing with the spectre of divorce.

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a confession. I love me some dinosaur movies. I love all the Jurassic Park and World films (even “The Lost World”). Not all of the films are perfect and none of them come close to Spielberg’s classic original (with is nearing 30 years old. . .WTF!), but the little kid in me loves all of them. Bringing dinos to life on the big screen has always been incredible to me and watching the new trailer for the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy finds me excited again. Even if the film is underwhelming from a story standpoint. . . well. . .dinosaurs! Check out the latest trailer below and feel free to comment here or on my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
The Dogcast: Kendog On The Pat Walsh Show December 10, 2021!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a bit of an apology. Due to unforseen professional and personal circumstances, I was unable to give you the latest and greatest in movie news and reviews last week on this very website. I’m talking about “West Side Story” of course, Steven Spielberg’s wonderful version of the classic 1961 movie musical. All of the updates are subtle and change the story from something overly stagey into something more resonant and emotional! And the songs still kick all kinds of ass! Below are my segments from last Friday’s Pat Walsh Show. I am blessed that he wants me in a little earlier than usual these days, meaning I get some more time with my friends like Pat, Kendall and Mark (let’s throw the talented Lou Gallagher in there, too) and you get to hear more of yours truly. (Hopefully that’s a good thing, heh.) Check out the two hours below to catch up on what you may have missed. As you will soon be able to tell, “West Side Story” is one of just a few things Pat, Kendall and I talk about. As always, feel free to comment below or on my Facebook Page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
Movie News: Spielberg Rounds Out His Pentagon Cast!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog!
I am an avid fan of Steven Spielberg and I know he’s more interested in pursuing adult material, but the kid in me just wishes he would go back to the masterfully crafted adventures that I enjoyed so much as a kid. Of course, he tried that last year with “The BFG,” and that tanked so I can understand if he’s a little gun shy right now. That said, he’s got a new film in the pipeline called “The Papers” about the Washington Post’s decision to publish the classified Pentagon Papers in 1971. Continue reading
