The Dogcast: Some “X-Minus One” For Your Old Radio Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun! In honor of the science fiction flavored “Don’t Worry Darling” (read the review here) I thought I’d include a couple of episodes of “X-Minus One,” and excellent science fiction radio program that was popular during the 1950s. “X-Minus” one featured adaptations of the works of Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein and others during it’s run and some of the stories still hold up well today. Enjoy listening to these offerings of “X-Minus One” and feel free to comment either below or on my Facebook Page! So Sayeth The Kendog!

The Kenblog: Best Lightsaber Duels In The Star Wars Universe!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a somewhat belated honoring of Star Wars Day! (It was May 4th, after all). As a kid I was absolutely obsessed with Star Wars. I was five years old when the first film came out in 1977 and I’ve been hooked ever since. One of my favorite aspects of the films had to be the lightsaber duels. The wonderful visual married to Ben Burtt’s legendary sound design had children of all ages trading in Excalibur for a Jedi or Sith blade. So in honor of Star Wars Day I thought I present my favorite lightsaber duels throughout the nine film Skywalker saga (and maybe a surprise or two). Enjoy the trip down memory lane and feel free to comment either below or on my Facebook page. May The Fourth Be With You! So Sayeth The Kendog!

The Dogcast: Some “X-Minus One” Science Fiction Old Radio

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. It’s really entertaining to see what people in the 1940’s and 50’s thought of what the future would hold. Most of it didn’t happen the way those futurists intended, but some of the ideas are still entertainingly trippy. One of the best sci-fi radio programs was “X-Minus One” a radio show with high production values and some very interesting stories. I’ve got two for you hear, one of which “A Gun For Dinosaur” is one of my favorite early time travel stories. Enjoy and feel free to comment below or on my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!

Dog’s Movie House: “Outside The Wire” Entertaining, If Undemanding Sci-Fi Actioner!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a nifty little sci-fi movie from Netflix called “Outside The Wire.” The film is set in the near future and feature’s Anthony Mackie, a talented actor probably best known as The Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s also had some fine performances in such film’s as “The Hurt Locker” and “Pain And Gain.” The film itself is a fairly intense action flick with high production values and a decent story.
