Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at James Gunn’s first big swing at the DCU. He starts with the biggest hero of them all: Superman. And in doing so has shown the world a surefire way to combat “comic book movie fatigue:” just make a damn good movie! Gunn has taken some of the sensibilities of his “Guardians Of The Galaxy” films and created a lighter, more energetic Superman that manages to recapture the sense of optimism not seen since the Christopher Reeve era! The result is a magical, emotional ride that deserves to be seen multiple times on the largest screen possible!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a techno-thriller that really feels like it could have been shot in the seventies. It’s called “The Amateur” and unfortunately it’s probably going to be one of those movies that slips through the cracks with all the Minecraft love going on. However, if you’re tired of the kiddie game flicks and want something a little more adult oriented then you’ll most likely enjoy this film!

Dog’s Movie House: “The Courier” Old Fashioned Spy Entertainment!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a new spy thriller based on a true story. It’s called “The Courier” and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Greville Wynne, a British salesman during the 1960s who is recruited by both MI6 and the CIA to help an asset in Russia smuggle information to prevent nuclear war between Russia and the United States. Unfortunately Wynne is an amateur in the world of spycraft and that inexperience sets in motion a series of events that puts his life in danger.
