Radio Daze: Let’s Hit Up Some Dragnet For Your Old Radio Listening Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! Welcome to another edition of Radio Daze! This episode features a couple of classic episodes from none other than Dragnet. The hard hitting police drama first made it’s way to radio in 1949 and became a staple on both radio and television during the 50’s and 60’s. Created by and starring Jack Webb, Dragnet was known for it’s (mostly) authentic portrayal of police work from crime to punishment. It’s a classic show with those wonderful old school vibes. These two episodes are from the summer of 1951! Enjoy! So Sayeth The Kendog!

Radio Daze: Sydney Greenstreet as Nero Wolfe for your Old Radio listening pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with another edition of Radio Daze! This edition features two episodes of a short-lived but well-regarded detective series based on the adventures of Nero Wolfe, a detective created by author Rex Stout. Played by excellent character actor Sydney Greenstreet, Nero Wolf ran from late 1950 to early 1951, just one season. But it was a well-made series with sharp scripts and terrrific performances by Greenstreet and the bevy of actors who played Wolfe’s assistant and proxy Archie Goodwin. Their byplay is one of the most entertaining elements in the show! Enjoy the mysteries, the banter, and the old time fun of Nero Wolfe!
