The Trailer Dog Park: “Mortal Kombat 2” Is Coming, And Karl Urban Is Coming With It!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with the latest trailer for the upcoming “Mortal Kombat 2” movie coming out this fall. A sequel to the hit film a few years back, this one introduces Karl Urban as the iconic Johnny Cage, a former martial arts movie star who finds himself in the classic life or death tournament for the fate of the world. Urban looks like a great fit for Cage, and the move looks to bring returning and new characters from the game. Hopefully we’ll actually get to see portions, if not all, of the actual tournament! Enjoy! So Sayeth The Kendog! (Also, for nostaglia’s sake, I’m including the Johnny Cage vs. Scorpion fight from the 1995 film. . just for fun!)
Dog’s Movie House: “Mortal Kombat” Mostly Effective Update Of The Original!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at “Mortal Kombat” a martial arts film based on the popular video game series that came out way back in 1992. In 1995, Paul W.A. Anderson had a large hit on his hands when he made the first film based on the game. It was a PG-13 adaptation and thus had none of the gory fatalities that marked the game’s most prominent features, but it was faithful to the storylines of the characters and had a few kick-ass fight scenes that still hold up today. This latest update comes from uber-producer James Wan, best known for his horror franchises like the Conjuring and Insidious series. So how does this new version of “Mortal Kombat” fare? Read on and find out!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with another edition of the Trailer Dog Park. This one features a new trailer from “F9” the ninth film in the blockbuster “Fast And The Furious” franchise. It looks like some of the special effects still need a little touching up, but otherwise it looks like another physics-defying, bromance inducing thrill ride. Here we get to see the return of Han from the dead (wonder how they pulled that off) and introduce John Cena as Dom’s long-lost brother. (Seriously, it took nine films to find out Dom had a younger brother?). Next we have the latest trailer for the new “Mortal Kombat” which promises to step up the violence and action to properly honor the game upon which the film is based. A who’s who of martial arts actors get the plum roles and it looks like director Simon McQuaid has a hit on his hands. “Mortal Kombat” hits theaters and HBO Max next Friday. Enjoy and feel free to comment here or at my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
