Dog’s Movie House: “Primate” Is Everything You’d Expect A Movie About A Killer Chimp To Be: No More And No Less!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here and I love a well done creature feature. It doesn’t have to be a life changing experience for me to enjoy a film for what it is, especially when it comes to horror films. There has been a trend recently toward “elevated horror” which essentially means that these horror films are usually working on multiple thematic levels. Movies like “Sinners,” “Weapons,” and pretty much everything by Robert Eggers or Ari Aster aspire to be more than just horror movies. But sometimes you just want to kick back with your popcorn and watch a homicidal chimp decimate a bunch of marginally intelligent young people. If that appeals to you than your in luck as “Primate” offers just such an experience, for better or for worse!
