Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller. It’s called “Knock At The Cabin” and features Dave Bautista as Leonard, a man whose shared visions with three other people have convinced him to descend upon a cabin in the woods. At this cabin are a couple, Eric (Jonathan Groff) and Andrew (Ben Aldridge) and their adopted daughter Wen (Kristin Cui). Leonard is convinced that the apocalypse is coming and the only way to stop it is for one of the three members of this family to be killed. The catch is that the victim must be killed by a member of his/her family. Leonard and his party can do nothing to intervene. Of course Eric and Andrew aren’t having any and their refusuals have extreme consequences, both to Leonard’s party and the world in general. Is Leonard right? Or is the whole thing just a shared delusion with a darker, yet more personal intent?Continue reading
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with another edition of the Trailer Dog Park. Today we get a look at M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, a film called “Knock At The Cabin.” This one stars Dave Bautista as the leader of a group of people who believe the key to stopping the apocalypse is to force a family staying at their forest cabin to make an unknown horrible decision. The trailer wisely keeps this decision from us but we know it involves the couple’s little girl. It looks like a small scale film like the ones Shyamalan has crafted his recent comeback upon. (The underwhelming “Glass” notwithstanding.”). Bautista, an excellent comic actor, looks to up the ante as the creepy but somehow sympathetic antagonist. Check out the trailer below and feel free to comment either here or on my Facebook Page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
