Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. In honor of the Christmas holiday I thought I’d give to you fine folks a couple of radio versions of the classic Frank Capra film “It’s A Wonderful Life.” The Jimmy Stewart-led classic is now a staple of holiday programming and it’s message of hope is more relevant than ever. Here I have two versions. The first features Jack Benny and his gang doing their slightly off-kilter version of “It’s A Wonderful Life” back in 1947. The second is is a Screen Director’s Playhouse version of the film from 1949 starring Jimmy Stewart in the radio version of one of his most famous screen roles. It also features Arthur Q.
