Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some Halloween fun! I know that the whole COVID mess is putting the clamps on some of the normal trick-or-treating rituals of Halloween (Mrs. Kendog and I are abstaining this year), but even if you’re party is a party of a few, you can still enjoy the holiday with some classic horror movies. Now I know that we happen to view several films from our childhood through the fog of nostalgia, but I’ve chosen a few films that still hold up very well today despite the passing of the years. Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog with one of the more frustrating movie experiences I’ve had in a while. The movie is called “Hubie Halloween” and is the latest Netflix offering from Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison shingle. After impressing in “Uncut Gems,” Sandler is back to his usual shtick, playing the man-child with irritating vocal inflections, inviting his stock cast to not act so much as mug for the camera, and inundate a potentially sweet story with enough unfunny sight gags and jokes to fill at least three bad films! (Of course it’s number one on the Netflix film list, so what the hell do I know?”
