Radio Daze: “Fibber McGee & Molly:” A Classic Comedy Featuring A Classic Husband And Wife Team!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with another edition of Radio Daze! This episode features two broadcasts from the Johnson Wax Sponsored program “Fibber McGee & Molly” featuring the real life team of Jim and Marian Jordan! “Fibber McGee & Molly” ran from 1935 through 1956, albeit in different forms, and was consistantly one of the most popular programs on the radio. Fibber was known for his legendary alliteration and his overstuffed hall closet, while Molly was the ever patient and loving wife. (Marian Jordan also voiced the little girl, Teeny.) “Fibber McGee & Molly” also featured a line-up of extremely talented guest stars, including Arthur Q. Bryant (Elmer Fudd), Richard Thompson, and Gale Gordan. Truly a classic comedy series. Enjoy these two episodes from 1940 and 1941 respectively! So Sayeth The Kendog!
