Dog’s Movie House: “Encanto” Delightful Disney Animation With Heart And Soul!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here after a bit of Thanksgiving time off with a look at Disney’s latest. It’s called “Encanto” and is a lushly animated film set in the hills of Columbia about a very unique family. It also features songs and music by Lin-Manuel Miranda who is quickly becoming the go-to guy for movie music nowadays. The film resonates emotionally with a story about the power of love and finding the hidden talents within. Of course, narratives like this are a dime a dozen and have been brought to film for decades, but “Encanto” manages to do so in a way that feels vibrant and original.

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Disney’s latest streaming release. It’s available on Disney+ right now with the premium charge of $19.99. This means you can watch or download the film anytime you want and if you have a family this purchase is definitely worth it. It’s cheaper than a night out at the movies (which you still can’t do anyway) and “Raya And The Last Dragon” is a wonderful family film with great vocal performances, terrific animation, and a heartstring-tugging story that resonates more than many live action films!

Disney is on a hell of a roll lately.  With “Star Wars,” “Zootopia,” “The Jungle Book,” “Finding Dory” and “Civil War” making incredible amounts of cash (and being darn good movies to boot), the House of Mouse could already close the books on a record-setting year.    But they aren’t done yet.  In a couple of weeks we get our first stand alone Star Wars movie, “Rogue One.”   Before that tent pole, however, Disney Animation has another gem on its hands in the form of “Moana” one of the most colorful and touching films of the year!
