Dog’s Movie House: “Venom: The Last Dance” Works Best As Alien Buddy Comedy!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Tom Hardy’s trilogy capper in the popular Venom series. Directed by first-timer Kelly Marcel (she penned the first two “Venom” films and co-wrote this one as well), “Venom: The Last Dance” has everything you can expect in a big budget superhero flick: slimy aliens, overreaching story points that are destined to be resolved in other films, and tons of (mostly effective) CGI that bring these alien beasties to life. What “The Last Dance” has as its secret weapon is Tom Hardy (both as Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote Venom) who decides to go all in one the bonkers bromance between the two, resulting in some big laughs and even a little sentiment a time or two. If you liked Hardy in the first two films, you’re gonna love him in “Venom: The Last Dance!”
