Dog’s Movie House: “Violent Night” Destined To Become A Cult Holiday Classic!”
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a holiday film that’s anything but jolly. (That’s a good thing, by the way!). It’s called “Violent Night” and it’s going to become an instant cult holiday classic in the vein of “Krampus” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” Director Tommy Wirkola and writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller have crafted a Frankenstein’s monster of a film that should be a train wreck but manages to work in just about every possible way. As long as you don’t mind a bit of gore and more than a bit of foul language, then “Violent Night” is going to be right up your alley!

When I first saw the trailer for “Krampus” the new horror comedy from Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r’ Treat) I wasn’t sure what to think, but I was giving Dougherty the benefit of the doubt because “Trick ‘r’ Treat” is one of my favorite horror films of all time. After watching the film I’m glad I kept an open mind and if you, dear moviegoer, do the same, you’ll find “Krampus” to be a refreshing bit of demented holiday fun. Continue reading
