Dog’s Movie House: “Red One” A Christmas Movie Disguised As An Action Film!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a film that may be destined to become a holiday viewing tradition along the lines of “Christmas Vacation” and “A Christmas Story.” This one is from the mind of Jake Kasden, who reunites with his “Jumanji” star Dwayne Johnson to create the holiday action film “Red One.” With an all star cast including Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons and Lucy Liu, “Red One” is a very busy but ultimately satisfying Christmas fable that manages a decent message while incorporating some interesting aspects of European mythology. The result is a fun film that should satisfy fans of all ages!

Dog’s Movie House: “Lightyear” Is Another Pixar Winner And A Whole Different Side Of The Popular Toy Story Character!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Pixar’s latest, the first to hit the theaters in over two years. (Everything else has gone straight to Disney+). This one’s called “Lightyear” and it’s the story of everyone’s favorite Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear. It’s actually the film that inspired the famous toy that Andy gets for his birthday at the beginning of the original “Toy Story.” While it doesn’t possess the whimsy of the Toy Story films it’s still a wonderfully entertaining film in it’s own right and could be the start of a whole new series of adventures for Buzz and his gang.

Iron Man Returns To Face Thanos In “Avengers: Endgame”

I know it’s been a few days, but I wanted to digest the enormous amount of material onscreen before I gave you my thoughts on one of the biggest movies in the world. As a comic book movie fan, I feel that “Endgame” is the perfect ending to 11 years and twenty-two movies that began with Robert Downy Jr. saying the words “I am Iron Man” back in 2008!
