Radio Daze: Some “Green Hornet” For Your Old Radio Listening Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with another episode of Radio Daze! This episode features a popular crime-fighting series that ran from 1936 to 1952. It’s known as The Green Hornet and it spawned a short lived TV series that launched the career of Bruce Lee, as well as an underrated movie starring Seth Rogan! Using “The Bee” as it’s overture and featuring the classic sound effect of a buzzing hornet, it tells the tale of newspaper publisher Britt Reid, a crusader for justice who fights crime under the guise of the Green Hornet. With his faithful Filipino valet Kato, he fights criminals with his gas gun and the powerful car known as The Black Beauty. Two episodes from 1939 are on the docket tonight and both are entertainingly cheesy in the best of ways. Enjoy!
