Radio Daze: “Phil Harris And Alice Faye” Bring The Laughs For Your Old Radio Listening Enjoyment!

Howdy Folks! Welcome to another episode of Radio Daze! This edition starts off the Christsmas season with a couple of classic holiday episodes from the 1948 season of “The Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show.” Jack Benny’s band leader got his own show in 1946 with Fitch Shampoo as the sponsor, but it’s best years started in 1948 when they switched to Rexall as a sponsor. In December of that first year the program showcased the holiday season with two great Christmas-themed episodes. Both of them are great fun with some legit laughs from some of the best supporting cast members in radio comedy, with Eliot Lewis as Phil’s best friend Frankie Remly and Walter Tetley as Julius the Grocery Delivery Boy.
