Dog’s Movie House: “Wrath Of Man” Is Guy Ritchie’s “Heat” Which Is A Good Thing!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Jason Statham’s latest, Guy Ritchie’s “Wrath Of Man.” The movie is an interesting stylistic change of pace for Ritchie, who usually infuses his films with a manic intensity and gobs of humor from his scripts. There is a style to his films that is often imitated by others, but this time Ritchie tones it down a bit with a style more reminiscent of cinematic auteurs like Michael Mann or Christopher Nolan. The result is a sleek, entertaining thriller that is pared down to its basic elements with Statham providing a reliable, if somewhat grim presence.

The Dogcast: A Little “Green Hornet” For Your Old Radio Listening Pleasure!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with some more old radio fun. In honor of the vigilante thriller “Without Remorse” releasing on Amazon Prime, I thought I’d give you a taste of one of the most popular vigilantes in old radio. “The Green Hornet” was one of the more popular series on the radio, premiering on 1936 and created by the same guy who brought the Lone Ranger to radio, George W. Trendle. In fact, Britt Reid, the crusading publisher who was actually the Green Hornet, is a distant relation to the Lone Ranger. Pretty cool, huh. In any event, the show is a lot of fun and not as adult oriented as other shows like The Shadow. I have two episodes here for your listening pleasure. Listen to the distinctive theme, which is “The Flight Of The Bumblebee” mixed with the sound of buzzing hornets. Enjoy and feel free to comment below or on my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!

The Trailer Dog Park: Will “Conjuring 3” Live Up To The Other Films’ Reputations?

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at “The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It,” the first in the series not directed by horror master James Wan. Even so, I’m willing to give it a go as the first two films have earned enough goodwill from yours truly not to dismiss it out of hand. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren. Will this case be their last, mwahhahah? Take a look at the trailer below and feel free to comment either here or on my Facebook page. So Sayeth The Kendog!
