Dog’s Movie House: “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” Epic And Epically Long!
Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog Here with a look at “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” the four hour magnum opus that gives Snyder the opportunity to tell the epic tale of DC’s greatest heroes and their eventual team up to defeat the evil minions of DC’s big bads: Darkseid and his lieutenant Steppenwolf (Not the 70’s rock band) The story behind this cut of the movie is as interesting as the movie itself. Snyder had to abandon the original film due to a tragedy in his family and Warner Bros. brought in Joss Whedon of “The Avengers” fame to finish things up. Whedon however reshot the majority of the movie which made the 2017 release a muddled, tonal mess. There was some good in that film but it was popular neither with the fans or the critics. Then the power of the internet came to for as Snyder’s fans came out in support of his unseen and unfinished cut. Pressure was so great that Warner Bros. not only authorized Snyder to finish his cut, but gave him millions to shoot new scenes. The result is now on HBO Max for your streaming pleasure.
