Dog’s Movie House: “Smile” Scary As Hell!”

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at a new horror film that starts off the Halloween movie season with a bang. It’s called “Smile” and it’s on scary beast of a film. Very few films can get me to watch multiple scenes from between my fingers, and this one qualifies. The story involves Rose Cotter (an excellent Sosie Bacon), a therapist who on day sees a grad student who is convinced something supernatural is hunting her. After freaking out at seeing the apparition, the student kills herself, cutting her own throat with a piece of pottery, all the while smiling a ghastly grin the entire time. Shortly thereafter, Rose starts seeing random people fixing her with the same unsettling stare for apparently no reason. She appears to be haunted by the same apparition that tormented her patient and she starts hallucinating and exhibiting frightening behavior. With no one to trust save her cop ex-boyfriend Joel (Kyle Gallner), she has to figure out how to stop the apparition before it claims her life.
