Dog’s Movie House: “Never Let Go” Gripping Horror Film That Almost Overcomes Its Somewhat Confusing Narrative!

Howdy Folks! It’s The Kendog here with a look at Alexandre Aja’s latest film titled “Never Let Go.” It tells the tale of June (Halle Berry) a single mother raising twin boys in a remote cabin after an unnamed apocolyptic event has wiped out most, if not all, of the human population. There is an unnamed evil in the woods that threatens the family at every turn, but the cabin that June and her sons inhabit is spelled to protect them against this evil. As long as they maintain their connection to the house via three long ropes, they can venture outside to hunt and collect wood, food, and water. “Never Let Go” is the mantra by which they live, but decreasing food stores and June’s struggles with her mental health lead to challenges they might not be able to overcome!
